In England they are going to use goal line tecnology in the English premier league. All the teams in the league said yes to the new technology. This technology is used already in tennis and cricket and is provided by Hawk-Eye. There will be 7 different cameras in place to track were the ball is and can accurately tell goal all no goal. If the ball crosses the line it will send a vibration to the referees watch within a second of the ball crossing the line.

Opinion: I think this will be very good for soccer players and it will help the referees from making the wrong call.

Google new futuristic glasses will let you take photos make video calls and look at websites. These glasses dont have headphones or speakers instead they send out vibrations to the tiny bones in our ear.
The screens are very small, but Google says its like watching a 25-inch tv. instead of watching a tv it projects a bright sharp image into your eyes.

Opinion: I think that these will be very cool but I think they will be very expensive.

A US man left his dog in the car as he went to have dinner in a restaurant. As the man was eating his dinner he didn't realized that his dog was having a feed as well. Sundance the (dog) was munching on Waynes five hundred dollars! Wayne didn't want to lose his money so he picked them out of Sundance's dropping's then he taped them together and sent them to US Treasury Department to see if they could replace it. They said it will take two years to replace.

The Breakers have won the australian basketball league. The breakers won the game by four points against the Wildcats . The game was close the whole way in the perth arena. Dillon boucher is retiring and cedric jackson and Thomas Ambercrombie are trying to get into the NBA.

HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS

Amount

We think that 30-45 minutes every weeknight is a reasonable expectation for homework. Per week that equals approximately 2.5 hours per week of homework.

2 terms = 20 weeks. Every homework task should take you 5 hours to do.

Quality

You need to work on each homework task for at least 2.5 to 5 hours. It should like it was done by a year 8 student. The product you make (if relevant) should look good quality.

An Australian man is making the worlds biggest dinosaur park. He is making 150 robotic dinosaurs. The Palmer Coolum Resort has already got a Tyrannosaurs and a Omeisaurus but over the next few weeks they will be getting some more. Their next arrivials will be a Mamenchisauraus that is more then 20m long and 7m tall. They will also be getting a Apatosaurus that is 21m long and 6.5m high. They are going to be displayed in woodland. The dinosaurs will come to life with chomping jaws and swaying tails.


Opinion:  I think that it would be really cool having a dinosaur park

A second festival about cats is returning to America in August.  Last year the festival atracted ten thousand people. This festival is about videos of cats on the internet. People vote which video they like the best. The most popular video gets played on a big screen.

Matt Silver-Vallance A South African man has gone up into the sky with two hundred helium balloons. He is trying to raise money to build a hospital in Johannesburg. When he was flying he went over shark infested water and over a nuclear power plant and a busy airport. When he had landed he said he was happy to have hes feat on solid ground again.
